Home Care

Home care is professional support provided in your own home, designed to help you live safely, comfortably and independently for as long as possible. It can support day-to-day tasks, personal care, companionship and more complex health needs, all while allowing you to remain in familiar surroundings.

Benefits

At LV Care Group, home care is always personalised

We take time to understand each individual’s routine, preferences and goals, creating a care plan that fits around life, rather than changing it.

Home care can be short term, such as support after a hospital stay, or long term for those living with ongoing conditions or needing regular assistance.

Home care can support with

  • Personal care, mobility and daily routines
  • Companionship, well-being and reassurance
  • Ongoing or changing health and care needs.

Hourly home care

Hourly home care offers flexible support for as little or as much time as you need and is available from 30 mins to all day. Care visits can be arranged during the day, evening or overnight, depending on your requirements.

This type of care is ideal for individuals who value independence but need a helping hand with specific tasks, or for families looking for reassurance that their loved one is supported safely at home.

Hourly care can increase or decrease over time, making it a practical and adaptable option as needs change.

Sleeping and waking night care

Night-time support can be just as important as daytime care. LV CareGroup offers both sleeping night and waking night care to ensure safety, comfort and peace of mind overnight.

Sleeping night care - means a carer stays in your home and is availableif support is needed during the night.

Waking night care - involves a carer remaining awake throughout thenight to provide continuous monitoring and assistance.

Night care can be provided as part of an existing care plan or as a standalone service.

We take time to understand each individual’s routine, preferences and goals, creating a care plan that fits around life, rather than changing it.

Common questions

Can I take my interview over video call?

Yes. We are happy to offer interviews by video call, particularly for candidates who do not live locally. This allows us to speak with you before you relocate and helps make the recruitment process more accessible.  If you are local, it is good for you to see your new work environment before you start, however this can be at a different time to your interview.

Can I apply for this job if I don’t live in Jersey or the Isle of Man?

Yes. We welcome applications from candidates who currently live outside Jersey or the Isle of Man. If you are successful, your appointment will be subject to your right to work locally, including any work permit or immigration requirements that apply. Our recruitment team can explain this process if needed. You will need to have at least two years experience and an appropriate qualification.

English isn’t my first language, does this matter?

English does not need to be your first language. What matters is that you can communicate clearly and safely in English, particularly where the role involves supporting clients, working with colleagues, or completing care records. Off-island applicants would be required to undertake the IELTS English Course. We value diversity and encourage applications from people of all backgrounds.

How do I get support if I need help?

Support is available throughout the recruitment process. If you need assistance, adjustments for an interview, or additional guidance, you can contact our recruitment team, who will be happy to help. We aim to make our recruitment process fair, supportive, and inclusive for all applicants.
