Nursing care

Support

LV nursing care offers peace of mind.

Each of our homes has nurses on duty day and night, offering support with medication, wound care, long-term conditions, and changes in health. This level of care is different from residential care, which does not include on-site nursing and is more suited to people who need help with daily living but not regular medical supervision.

Our nursing teams also provide specialist support for people living with dementia or those receiving end-of-life care. While dementia care focuses on memory loss and cognitive needs, nursing care includes additional medical oversight when physical health becomes more complex or conditions progress.

Nursing care can be long term, or it can be provided on a short-term basis, such as after a hospital stay. This is sometimes referred to as respite care, which offers temporary support and recovery time while ensuring medical needs continue to be closely monitored.

What sets LV Care apart is our focus on the whole person, not just their condition. We place equal importance on comfort, dignity, companionship, and emotional wellbeing, alongside safe and professional medical care. Families can feel reassured knowing their loved one is supported by a consistent team who understand their needs and provide care with warmth and respect.

Our homes in Jersey offering nursing care include Cheval Roc — nursing and residential care. Saint Joseph's - nursing care. Silver Springs - Nursing and residential care. Our homes in the Isle of Man are Summerhill View and Crovan Court

Nursing care provides constant access to qualified nurses who can respond quickly if someone’s health changes. Having medical support on site, day and night, helps reduce stress for residents and gives families peace of mind.

Medication is managed safely and accurately by trained professionals. This includes regular reviews, monitoring side effects, and adjusting care when needs change, all while keeping routines as familiar as possible.

For people living with long-term or complex conditions, nursing care allows health needs to be closely monitored without repeated hospital visits. Care is adjusted over time, based on how each person is feeling and responding.

Nursing care can also support people as conditions progress, including those living with dementia or those nearing the end of life. Care remains focused on comfort, dignity, and respect, with emotional support offered alongside medical care.

Alongside clinical support, daily care and companionship remain a key part of life in the home. Residents are supported not just with their health, but with everyday comfort, routines, and meaningful connections.

What makes LV different is our focus on the whole person, not just their condition. We place great emphasis on comfort, companionship and emotional wellbeing alongside medical support.
